Giant green Anacondas, known as Eunectes murinus, are among the largest snakes in the world. There are several species of giant snake that come close to the size of the giant anaconda (namely, the Asiatic reticulated python and Burmese python), but there have not been any authenticated reports of specimens that match the size of the largest known anaconda.
