He was approached by a good-sized octopus, which quickly moved in towards him. Initially, Huang feared he was being attacked by the octopus, but then the cephalopod quickly wrapped its tentacles around Huang's video camera, pulling it into its mouth. It all happened so quickly, there was no time to turn off the camera. The whole interaction was recorded while Huang struggled with the octopus trying to take back his brand new camera. He was unable to overcome the powerful grip of the octopus' tentacles and it swam away with the camera still running. Huang chased after the octopus for about five minutes before catching up to it and distracting it with another shiny object - his spear gun. Extending the spear gun towards the octopus apparently took its attention away from the camera and that gave Huang the opportunity to reach in and retrieve his camera from the octopus' mouth. Huang kept the camera rolling after retrieving it and in the video you can see the octopus turn its attention towards the spear gun, curiously touching it.
